Try hanging out or studying at a bookstore that has a coffee shop. You can meet girls that are studious and/or drink coffee or tea. Plus the atmosphere is totally different that the club or bar scene. Conversations is as easy as asking about the types of books they are browsing, or if in the coffee shop studying, asking what school they go to and what they are studying.

it has to be a real popular place with heavy activity, low lighting, and most importantly, it should have tons of women.
