When I go to different sites and download different skins, hair, clothes etc. I can figure out how to unzip it and get it to the game and everything, but when I go to "Create a Sim" and go to the item I downloaded, it appears as a *nasty looking* naked body. When I click it it makes my Sim's body disappear. What the heck is this, and how can I stop it?

You may not have the mesh or perhaps the mesh file is corrupted. Some sites such as parsimonious.org include the mesh in the download but others might not. go back to the site yoyu got it from and read to find out if you need to download the mesh separately. also one thing I highly recommend is using a program called the sims 2 file maid for installing the files. It is a very easy program to use. just simply google the program name to go to the site to get it. Hope this helps you.

You probably didn't download a mesh. A mesh is what makes that item appear. And sometimes on the sites they'll have seperates link that you have to click on to download them because they aren't included in the download. You'll need to read carefully when downloading, i've done that a million times. I'll turn on my game and can't find half the things I download or when I do they don't look the same (like the nakedness as you describe, or discoloration).

Go back to the site and see if there any mes link, or any other links that say you will have to have blah blah blah for this item to appear in your game.

Well, 9 times out of ten, the *nasty looking body* is either infected or it wasn't installed properly-Or, you might not've downloaded a mesh! You HAVE TO HAVE THE MESH AND AT LEAST ONE RECOLOUR OF THE MESH!!!! It will NOT work if you haven't installed it!! The website might have a separate link if it is on another website.Or, they might just include it in the *recoulour* of the mesh. Here's a website to help you with those problems AND they even teach you to how to make stuff!:

This is the site if you want to learn how to make ur own stuff:

This is just if you want to download. They have MILLIONS OF MILLIONS to choose from!:

Hope my answer works for you, and you might need to download the Q-Express installer for the EASIEST way to extract files. All you have to click is install, then BAM! You ave your files in the game. I've had *the nasty body* show up on my game too, but when I click on it, there's clothes. Well, hope my answer hits the spot!!!!!

~♥HAPPY LATE NEW YEARS♥~

I had this same issue. i began out to have important lag when I put in my first enlargement. What I did is spent $50 on a memory chip and put in it myself. (common). seem up your workstation on the producer's web site to work out how lots memory your comp is able to. verify the cardboard variety and the two order it from the maker or from Amazon. it somewhat is worth it and it makes your workstation lots quicker with each and everything.

If you go to different website, this may be something like a virus. Stop downloading things from other websites, even downloading someone else's work from the Sims.com website is bad. I'm not positive, but re-installing the game may be the best thing to do if you're REALLY desperate.

Sims 2, my step-sister had it and the game was making her computer not only slow down, but also die. What I would do if I were you, take it back to the store you bought (if the warranty is still on it.) If not, then play it on another computer or a game counsle (such as PSP, Nintendo DS, or something like that)

it's from the internet, that stuff makes your game messed up. Don't try it. The company is most likely bad. Bummer.
