I think all people have things in their past which are regrettable. I do not believe that these actions necessarily effect what type of person they may be today so long as they have truly left those demons behind. I don't know enough about Obama to say whether I think he would be a good candidate for president or not. Should he get the nomination I will take the time to learn about him at that time. However, I will be interested to see if all the liberals that have attacked the president for his past drug and alcohol abuse will now do the same with Obama though.

I know a very dedicated Doctor, he works harder than anyone I've ever met and is one of the selfless people I've had the privilege of meeting, he also did cocaine some 8 years ago. Does that answer your question?

No, I would hate to be judged by some thing I did 11 years ago! People grow up, do you actually think it doesn't really go on in government, now?!

No, he's a Democrat, it's okay for him. Now, President Bush using cocaine over twenty years ago, that's BAD!

I want a candidate that has done stupid things and can fess up to it. No more of this "who? what? Me?" nonsense in government. I want my elected officials to be human and have bad experiences that led to wisdom so they have something to base their decisions on.

Not to me. I am a tad troubled that nearly everything we know about him comes from the Society Pages.

As far as I can see, Bush is still high...unless it's possible to be that stupid without being stoned.
No, Obama is entitled to have made mistakes like everyone else. Unlike Bush, he's taken responsibility for his mistakes instead of lying about them... and continuing to make them.

He was born addicted to crack. He just happened to relapse. Everybody makes mistakes. I heard he is doing a documentary with the TV show Intervention.
