Well if they ask me for money I always give it too them. Both really.

I'm not too sure about that.. But I give food usually coz they can eat that whenever and not sell it or buy alcohol.. I guess I'd do a bit of both.. Charity and homeless.. But only if I trust the charity and know that they're actually giving it away to the right people..

As a person who is very familiar with the Homeless situation in this country, I would say that supporting somebody by giving them money for nothing is a terrible thing to do to them and only makes the giver "Feel Good"!
You wind up keeping them begging and destroying themselves instead of picking up the pieces of their lives!
There should be signs at intersections that say-Please do not feed the Lowlife, come winter they will not know how to care for themselves and will starve!
Works at every National Park for the Bears!

Aw hell yeah..I don't like that 95% of the money I would give to charity would go to company operations. At least the homeless person would most likely use it on what helps at the time.

Yes. Only because Charity only appreciates LARGE amounts of money (which I do not have) and a homeless person would appreciate anything!

Both, I prefer charity though because when I'm in those complicated parts of town and I see a homeless person coming my way, I get depressed for them. It's just so hurtful, to imagine myself with tattered and mud splattered clothes, asking around for maybe even a penny perhaps. Talk about striving to live!

Maybe not. Charity organization deals with larger scope I think. Homeless people can come for dinner or something.

i never give money to a homeless person because most of them uses it to buy booze. almost rarely they would use it to buy food for themselves. i would rather give it to charity, because they use that money for good use, and it makes a big difference to the community.

Never would do that. Luckily we don't have homeless ppl here. I'd have to kick the mentally ill drunk ( o is that mean) I mean poor guy. They buy booze, I might grab them some fast food though.

Yeah, at least I'd know it wasn't going into the pockets of the overpaid executives! If that person chose to buy booze with it, what does it matter? Better him than the rich guy!
