I think this is the one. It's by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.

KENNST DU DAS LAND?
(Do you know the land?)

Kennst du das Land, wo die Zitronen blühn,
(Do you know the land where the lemon trees bloom,)
Im dunkeln Laub die Goldorangen glühn?
(Where oranges, like gold, beneath the leafy gloom?)
Ein sanfter Wind vom blauen Himmel weht,
(A gentle wind from bluest heaven blows)
Die Myrte still und hoch der Lorbeer steht?
(The myrtle green and high the laurel grows?)
Kennst du es wohl? Dahin!
(Do you know that land? ‘Tis there!)
Dahin möcht' ich mit dir,
(Ah, ‘tis there, o my beloved,)
O mein Geliebter, ziehn.
(‘Tis there I dream we would go.)
