I would like to know of any fun card games to play with 2 or more people while at home that doesn't require a computer.
I would also like to know their proper name and the rules to that game.

For what kind of crowd? Texas Hold'em is a widely popular poker game, certainly one of my favorites to play. See the listed wikipedia article for rules.

For more card games than you could ever play in a lifetime, see pagat.com. They list the rules for tons of card games.

Two card games with special decks of their own that are great...

Mille Bornes

Phase 10

My friend and I also play one called Spite and Malice.

For each person that plays you need a full deck of cards, no jokers.
Shuffle all cards together.

Deal each player 26 cards that they Do Not Look At....
This is their War Pile. Turn up the Top Card of your War Pile.
The object of the game is to play all the cards in your War Pile first.

All other cards in one pile for the Draw Pile.

Choose someone to start, we usually cut for high or low before the shuffle.

First person to play draws 5 cards from the Draw Pile.

If you have any 2's you must play them in the center field of play.
Then build up on these piles... 2 to the Ace.

When they reach the ace you pull them from the field of play and we save a few up. shuffle these completed piles together as needed and add to the Bottom of the Draw Pile.

If you are able to play all 5 cards out of your hand during your turn you may draw 5 more cards and continue your turn.

When you can play no more 2's nor add to the piles, (note you may choose not to add to the piles as part of your stategy)
You end your turn by discarding one card in front of you face up. You may have 5 discard piles max. you may stack the piles so you can see the cards.

The next player draws 5 cards and plays any 2's and so on.

On each turn you draw whatever number of cards will give you 5 total cards in your hand then play....

REMEMBER THE POINT IS TO PLAY ALL THE CARDS IN YOUR WAR PILE FIRST.... AND OF COURSE TO PREVENT YOUR OPPONENTS FROM PLAYING THEIR WAR PILE.

If you get caught not playing a 2, the opponent who calls it puts their bottom card from their War Pile on the bottom of your War Pile

If you fail to play your War Pile card and instead accidentally play a card from your hand, Whichever opponent calls it puts the bottom card from their War Pile on the bottom of your War Pile.

It sounds more complicated then it is I promise you. Everyone I've ever taught this game to wants to play it again. :-)

Have Fun!

crazy 8's
every player gets 8 cards
deck goes in the middle with one card face up beside the deck
whatever is faced up follow suit with the same number or the suit( hearts, clovers, spades, diamonds )
when 2's are used the next player will have to pick up 2
if the next player puts another 2
the next player will have to pick up 4
continuous
when jacks are played the next person misses his turn
eights are wild
when they are played a person can change the suit
the person with no more cards win

Cheat you need 2 people minimum and as many maximum. yous sit in a circle and the person who is left to the dealer starts they go 1 ace (or as many aces as they have ) if they dont have an ace then they'll have to cheat. if someone say cheat and they didn't cheat the person who said it gets the cards and if they did cheat the person who cheats gets the cards. you don't always have to say cheat though cause when someone says cheat and there's a big pile they get the pile. by the way it goes ace,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10, jack, queen, king, ace etc

I always enjoyed Spades.
Spades is always trump, deal all the cards, bid on how many you and your partner can get. must follow suit, who ever takes the trick leads the next hand, if you bid 7 and get 9 tricks you get 72 points , if you don't get 7 you go back 70 points Ace is high.
