it depends what you mean by prepared. if you mean physically, then there is no possible way ( but the world is only suppoed to end in billions of years so whatever... you dont have to worry about that in your lifetime) but if u mean spiritually, you only will be prepared when you ask jesus for your forgiveness of sins and to be accepted into heaven. and, i mean, if i was going to be there for doomsday, then i would be prepared emotionally bc everybody will die so there is no reason to be sad bc youd feel sorry for the people that you would have to leave or that youd know that people you love were still alive.
so the answer is mixed in my opinion.

I am not sure that I understand the context of the question. I will be prepared should it occur in my life-time. We? Who can say? From a physical point of view, how would one prepare? Would we be stranded on a lifeless rock? If so, for how long until we too were lifeless?

How do you mean, prepared? If the world is ending, what's there to be prepared for? It's not like anyone's going to survive no matter how many bomb shelters they build.
Assuming you understand that, it seems you're talking about spiritual preparation; namely, having repented for your sins and accepted Jesus Christ as your savior. As I am an atheist, I do not consider this to be preparedness in any practical way.
