If you have two people who are successfully on their life's paths that are happy within themselves and let each other grow, then I don't think it matters what their sun sign is.
Right now, a lot of sags are going through a sort of image/identity crisis, and if they have a lot of work to do on their self-images, that could be kind of rough. Also, if they haven't worked out problems with their homes or their family lives, then Saturn is in their 4th house demanding that they do so.
Bottom line on most compatibility issues, though, is you have one or more people in a couple that aren't happy with themselves first, then you have problems.
