I had the same thing with my second pregnancy until I was about 34 weeks. I tried everything under the sun. I did find that lemon helped me (lemon drops, lemons in water) I also got some relief from preggie pops (you can order them on amazon or get them at Babies R Us). I also used Zofran and Phenergan (medications my doctor prescribed for me). I ended up having a gallbladder problem starting at 28weeks and battled constant Nausea and vomiting. My doctor also suggested taking 1/2 of a unisom (it helped a little). Hopefully, you will find something to work for you or it will go away soon. Congrats and Good Luck!

Try the Acupuncturist. They will place very fine needles in certain areas of your body. These DO NOT hurt, maybe a little sting, but it will be worth it. Those same points can be used by you to press on and gently stimulate, self acupressure. This will help with nausea. I know this works as I have done it. Until you can locate an acupuncturist try this, there is a point right in the middle of your top lip, the little indentation. Press there. Rub area gently. Deep breathe in through your nostrils and out through your mouth. Do this 10-15 times slowly. Visualize yourself somewhere else, on a beach, floating in clouds, somewhere calm and quiet.
If all else fails ask your Dr. for Ondansetron (zofran) it's a great anti-emetic, used for nausea in Chemotherapy patients. It comes in tablet form.

I've gone through the same thing. I was vomiting for 8 months with my 1st child and almost all 18 weeks so far of this twin pregnancy. What helps me: I've actually gotten fresh ginger root, grated it into boiling water and sweetened it with straight up sugar. (Some will say sweeten with honey, but then warn you of the potential of getting Botulism from the honey because it's typically not pasteurized. Not good.) I keep that "tea" near me at all times. I've got the previously suggested "sweat bands with nubs" on my wrists. I'm also constantly eating. Anything that's easy to come back up is what I put down: rice cakes (flavored!), dry cereal (milk makes things worse for me?), dry scrambled eggs, really anything that isn't strong flavored or has harder chunks like nuts. Salad is gross coming up, but tasty and welcomed once food starts staying down. Here's the critical part: the more nauseous I felt, the hungrier I actually was. Once I got past the first couple of battles of eating and heaving, I was keeping food down more and more, the more I put in me. Now, I know when I'm hungry because I suddenly feel like heaving. It's a VERY strange feeling, but for some reason it seems to be what's up with me. I hope this helps you, if only a bit. I truly feel your pain.

lol the seabands dont work

I had the m/s all day every day up until my 5th month-it went away in my 6th & came back for my 7th- I still have it now in the am and before I go to bed-Im due in 3 weeks.

the beginning was AWFUL--all I could stomach when anything would stay down was cheese sandwiches and those curly noodle soups without the broth.

also-I NEEDED sour candy.
for some reason, my nurtitionist said drinking lemonade is supposed to take away nausea--I suppose that is why I craved sour candy.

good luck-I feel for you. aside from the sour candy--nothing at all helped me.
I tried doing everything they said-eating a cracker before getting out of bed, and all that stuff--it didnt matter, none of it worked, lol

Never suffered from that but I had a good friend who did. Her remedy was to keep a box of dry cereal...any kind with her at all time. She made it a point to keep nibbling on it from the time she got up stating as long as she had something in her stomach the nausea was kept at bay. In other words don't wait to eat...just keep shoveling a handful in all morning long. It was funny to see an opened box of flakes on her desk daily. I do hope that helps.
I'm over the hill for pregnancy now but looking back on it and hearing your story I can only sigh and say, Gawd...what we had to go through! It is winter here now and I remember vividly how difficult it was just to put my boots on, chewing on ice bits 24/7 and awful heartburn! You have all my sympathy.

i am currently pregnant and getting to the sickie phase...
with my daughter, NOTHING worked. not the bands, crackers, water, any crazy thing anyone recommended.

There is a drug called Zofran. This is normally a drug given to chemo patients to help calm thier nausea and vomiting. If you have good insurance, i would ask your doctor about this medication. it really helped me.

If you have a good prescription plan, go for it... its $999.00 for 30 without insruance as i discovered on the top of my info sheet back in 2003 - where they always display the cost after your co-pay.

That was the only thing that helped me, good luck !

Firstly, congratulations.
I had bad nausea with both pregnancies but I found that drinking lemon cordial or lemon tea seemed to help me, but everyone is different. Check out a few pregnancy web sites like http://www.babycenter.com/ , they have alot of great tips and a message board where you can get advice from other mothers.

Good luck!!

A couple of things that I tried when I was pregnant and actually worked were Green Apple Jolly Ranchers and lemons. The lemon trick worked great especially in the grocery store when all the smells would make me sick. I would poke a hole in my lemon and just lick it when I felt sick and it worked. Good luck.

Every woman and every pregnancy is different. I would try everything you hear, from any mother, as long as it is safe for you and baby of course. Unfortunately, i am 37 weeks pregnant with my second baby and nothing worked for me this time or last time. I've heard of the smell peppermint working, preferably peppermint oil. A dab under the nose does wonders i've heard.
