Has anyone ever used the daycares or babysitting services while away at resorts. I have a 13 year old that I would like to go snorkeling or jetsking with, but my 12 month old wouldnt be able to do things like that. I dont like the idea of dropping my daughter off at a place I dont know about, but people I've talked said they would.

My friend had the daycare teacher watch her year old son for a week when they went on vacation. In addition to daycare money($ 40 a day), she paid the teacher $500 for the week. So totally it was $ 700.

I would be more inclined to drop my child off at the hotel's child care program than I would be to have a child care provider come to my room. Personally, I have never done it. If I were to consider it, I would go to the facility and check it out and then go with my gut instincts about the place.
