I had the same question, so I asked my doctor.
Rule of Thumb : no hotter than what you would give a baby, keep it at 100 degrees... no hotter. get a little rubber ducky temp reader for your bathtub... you'll use it later, anyway :)
Heat, as in the excessive or long term like a fever, can cause early embryonic death in some cases.
In a first pregnancy, a woman will begin to "show" by 14-20 weeks depending on the body type and number of fetus' being carried. A subsequent pregnancy has been known to make itself immenent to the mother as early as 6 weeks. this has been explaned to be due to the moms body taking on "auto-pilot" and certain body parts being stretched prior.
Good luck, hope it helped!

Just to add to what the other answerer said...yes it is fine to take a bath...but very hot baths and definetly HOT TUBS must be avoided during pregnancy. Many young women are not aware of this. The reason is that the hot water draws blood to the surface of the body, and away from internal organs and the womb. This deprives the fetus of proper blood flow to the placenta and can lead to birth defects. hope you see the doctor sonn and have a healthy pregnancy.

yes it is safe to take a bath. That is a old wise tale that you can not take a bath. Just make sure the water is warm so you don't get burned.

I don't think taking a bath is a problem. As you get further along, if I recall correctly (I had my daughter 5 years ago), they do recommend no long, hot baths.
I started showing in about the early 4th month.

Well for starters you need to get yourself to the doctor's a.s.a.p!!! Your baby's health as well as yours depend on it. No one can tell you what to do because no one knows exactly what your situation/case is. That is what doctors are for. I'm not really sure if money is a problem for you but if it is you should check out Planned Parenthood, they offer low cost or even free care and they provide great caring service too.
Hope you feel better and good luck w/ everything :)

At this stage of your pregnancy, of course it's ok. Only when you've gotten pretty big would you want to avoid baths. Your balance will be off and you could slip and hurt yourself and/or the baby.
