First of all use a magnet to take evrything off the hard drive and then use a hammer to smash it.

if you want to disable the hard drive so no one else will ever read the data, the easiest (and most fun) its to smash a 9 inch nail through it

if you just want to wipe it for you to re-use, right click in windows and choose format

By taking it apart completely. which I do if the hard drive no longer going to be used and destroy the disk by scarring it.
