someone explain?

Question

I have heard that a black rose means love, for black roses are the rarest to find, just as true love, and that a red rose means death, I belieave because they are the color of blood. Now will someone tell me if this is true? Because to me that makes alot of since, since love is very hard to find as is the black rose, and red roses are very commn, as is death.

I think they should only mean what the person who gives them meant them to mean. I mean after all we are the ones who give them meaning. It does make since that the rarer the flower the more love it represents, but you can't judge someone who may love you more than someone else for choosing red over black because of their ignorance! Red roses mean romantic love; they're the "Valentine roses

i've never even seen a black rose but i know that red roses mean true love not death i saw a rose color meaning chart and did not see a black rose on it

Red roses are beautiful. They won't kill anyone so it's ok to give them as gifts. Black roses could mean death if ya wanted it to.

if you hang a red rose upside down for a few weeks, it turns black.

But i think that symbolizes death more than a red one does.

i head the exact opposite. from many many many people. red is like a valentine color. not black. but thats just my opinion
