Ok. So here's the thing. Me and my boyfriend had sex on Dec. 31 and he ejaculated in me and I was suppose to be on my period the next 4 days from January 1st through the 4th. I'm on birth control (Loestrin24...only 4 days of your period blah blah blah) and I usually take it at 9:00 P.M. But I took the last "active" white pill after we were done with sex which was 12:03 A.M. (3 hours late). The next day was when I took my first "reminder" brown pill but I don't think that the pill worked since he already ejaculated in me. I'm now on my period after 2 days of the incident but I was wondering if I can still be pregnant. I'm so so so so sorry for the people who don't know about the birth control thing cause it's really confusing.

Take a breath. You are not pregnant. If you were, you would have missed a period.

Ask your boyfriend to start using a condom. That way you guys are double protected, and you won't have to worry about stuff like this.

Just an FYI birth Control pills are not 100% any way having that being said I do not think that anyone could scientifically answer your question with 100% certainty. If you do not wish to have children at this time just pray that every thing is fine and BTW even with birth control it is still always safe to use condoms...birth control pills do not prevent STD's. I am a mother and personally I knew i was pregnant and I wasn't even 2 weeks pregnant yet!!! so if you feel fine hun I wouldn't even worry but if your body feels different go take a test and get on with life! I don't think you should have any reason to worry, although I have heard of women having problems with the low-hormone bc pills. Generally, with most pills, you can even miss a whole day, and you are still safe. After two days, you are supposed to use back-up protection, and after three, you are supposed to throw the whole thing away and start over.

However, I don't know if it would be different for the Loestrin-24, but your pill pack should come with a informational booklet thing, and it should say in there.

I would guess that you have nothing to worry about.

Taking the pill 3 hours late will have no effect considering you were due for your period the next day. As a general rule you ovulate 14 days before your period is due.

No. You're NOT pregnant. But you should take your pills on time to prevent unwanted pregnancy.

If you ever miss a dose, use another form of protection for the rest of the month.

even if you took the pill late-you are fine.
birth control pills take a few months to filter completely out of your body anyway, which is why it is so hard for some couples to get pregnant immediately after going off of them.

if you are still unsure, you can always take a test if your period doesnt show up soon.

Youre probably not pregnant. 3 hours is not such a big deal. Dont worry, but keep taking the pills. You should only stopthem if you KNOW youre pregnant. So just keep doin what youre doin and relax
