I am at Home Depot almost daily and they don't seem to have a mandatory dress code. The aprons are their uniform. I imagine they have a dress code that is similar to other "dealing with the public" companies. No shirts with slander, foul language or alcohol ads on them. Clothes are to be clean and free of rips and holes and fit properly. No butt cracks showing or underwear.
From what I can tell Home Depot seems to be a pretty good place to work with good benefits.

Like the last person said the "APRON" is your dress codes most important item! However, this week alone Ive been sent home twice for improper dress. The first time I had on a pair of shorts (below the knee), that had AEROPOSTLE wrote on it. This is I came to find out is "ATHLETIC WEAR". I had to go home n change....I did. Yesterday, I was asked to go home AGAIN and change bcuz I had just a plain pair of yellow cotton shorts on, and they called these "ATHLETIC WEAR"!!!! I did not agree but Im not managment. This time I asked for approval to work thru the day wearing these VIOLATING shorts and to promise to NEVER wear them again, but they said I HAD TO GO N CHANGE. At this time I said that gas is now 4dollars a gallon n If I were to go I could not afford to return back today. They said ok and I left. That is 2days lost pay for this. What do you think???

it all depends on where you work and the managers that you work with. My boyfriend is a HD employee and he HATES it. there is no real dress code but like other dude said no profanity or anything Jeans Khaki whatever. but the apron is Mandatory in the day shifts and becoming so on the nights.

It depends on full/part time. the benefits are outstanding. there is no dress code other than no sweats or pjs. casual... wear tennis shoes! I hated working there as a cashier, my store just did not have good people. It's a great company though... so good luck!
