Algol is a B8V type star with a surface temperature of between 10-30 thousand Kelvin. Algol is NOT at all like our own sun, which is a G type star with a temperature of some 6 thousand Kelvin.

In case anybody asks, Algol is not one star, but 2. A binary star.

There are two stars (maybe more?). The spectral types tell their temperatures.
