It's normal and harmless. 'Good' is a subjective thing - certainly it feels good and relieves tension. Your body constantly produces new sperm and old ones die off so there's no real issue of 'waste' or running out. Whether it's necessary or beneficial is hard to determine because there's not a large enough control group to compare to. (An old joke says that in a recent survey 95% of men said they masturbate at least occasionally; the other 5% lied.)
Getting old and skinny is a normal part of aging, unless you get old and fat instead. Spanking the monkey has nothing to do with it, although living with a nasty tempered woman might.

Why Do People Masturbate?
In addition to feeling good, masturbation is a good way of relieving the sexual tension that can build up over time, especially for people without partners or whose partners are not willing or available for sex. Masturbation also is a safe sexual alternative for people who wish to avoid pregnancy and the dangers of sexually transmitted diseases. It also is necessary when a man must give a semen sample for infertility testing or for sperm donation. When sexual dysfunction is present in an adult, masturbation may be prescribed by a sex therapist to allow a person to experience an orgasm (often in women) or to delay its arrival (often in men).
Is Masturbation Normal?
While it once was regarded as a perversion and a sign of a mental problem, masturbation now is regarded as a normal, healthy sexual activity that is pleasant, fulfilling, acceptable and safe. It is a good way to experience sexual pleasure and can be done throughout life.
Masturbation is only considered a problem when it inhibits sexual activity with a partner, is done in public, or causes significant distress to the person. It may cause distress if it is done compulsively and/or interferes with daily life and activities.
Is Masturbation Harmful?
In general, the medical community considers masturbation to be a natural and harmless expression of sexuality for both men and women. It does not cause any physical injury or harm to the body, and can be performed in moderation throughout a person's lifetime as a part of normal sexual behavior. Some cultures and religions oppose the use of masturbation or even label it as sinful. This can lead to guilt or shame about the behavior.
Some experts suggest that masturbation can actually improve sexual health and relationships. By exploring your own body through masturbation, you can determine what is erotically pleasing to you and can share this with your partner. Some partners use mutual masturbation to discover techniques for a more satisfying sexual relationship and to add to their mutual intimacy.

It is held in many mental health circles that masturbation can relieve depression and lead to a higher sense of self-worth (Hurlbert & Whittaker, 1991). Masturbation can also be particularly useful in relationships where one partner wants more sex than the other — in which case masturbation provides a balancing effect and thus a more harmonious relationship.
On July 16, 2003, an Australian research team led by Graham Giles of The Cancer Council published a medical study [2] which concluded that frequent masturbation by males may help prevent the development of prostate cancer. The study also indicated that this would be more helpful than ejaculation through sexual intercourse because intercourse can transmit diseases that may increase the risk of cancer instead.
Masturbation is also seen as a sexual technique that protects individuals from the risk of contracting sexually transmitted diseases such as AIDS. Support for such a view, and for making it part of the American sex education curriculum led to the dismissal of US Surgeon General Joycelyn Elders during the Clinton administration.
Some people actually consider masturbation as a cardiovascular workout.[12] And while doctors have no proof of this actually being true, those suffering from cardiovascular disorders (particularly those recovering from myocardial infarction, or heart attacks) should resume physical activity (including sexual intercourse and masturbation) gradually and with the frequency and rigor in which their physical status will allow. Some doctors will advise those recovering from heart attacks to resume sexual activity (solitary or with a partner) when one is able to climb two flights of stairs without experiencing shortness of breath or chest pain.

Bah, just like being told masturbation makes your palms hairy, makes your eyes go blind and makes you go crazy. All old wives tales used to try to stop boys from enjoying their own penises.
Fact is, masturbation is normal and healthy. It relieves sexual tension (safe than sex and no one can get pregnant), reduces frequency of wet dreams (and their mess), keeps you in touch with yrou own sexual responses and even is known to reduce th erisk of prostate cancer. So whethe ryou are enjoying it 2 or 3 times a week or a couple times a day matters little; main thign is to do it and enjoy it.

masturbution is okay. it is actually automatically against all cultures but people do it anyway. it will make your dick sore for more than 10 hours or so. my dad and my therapist said it is okay to do it as long as you don't over do it. after masterbating you won't be in the exciting jumpy mood especially for sex or girls or naked girls.

yes, its relieves sexual tension and stress..... although its only healthy to do (for a full grown adult) about once or twice a week because as the male body gets older, your body produces less sperm and it take longer to replenish the sperm.

Are you serious?
If that were the case, the male population of the world would all be 100 and thin as rakes.

No, it's definitely bad.
WHY ? Because immoral thoughts are streaming through your mind. THIS is temptation. IT is your responsibility to resist. IF you can't resist then you must learn to be a greater fighter of immoral thoughts, to cleanse your mind, and have and have a more self -controlled thought process.
This is at any age.
Of course teenagers are fascinated with new experiences, and the self-questioning of what sex is and what it feels like.
HOWEVER, masturbation is wrong.
IT is all about the sexual immorality that is streaming through your mind, otherwise known as TEMPTATION.
WHY is it temptation, because you are alone, and images of immorality and other people are running through your mind.
