But just a nice place they can be romantic. Not dinner or a movie. They have three kids and grandma will be home with the kids so tehy need to go outsomewhere. They live in Orange County , Ca. Will travel to L.A. county or stay in Orange. Co. Any ideas?

I am a mom of 3 as well and my husband and I take ballroom dance lessons together.Its really been great to connect on a physical level other than sex..not to be off color,but the learning the lead and being led,the atmosphere and mood of the music -not to mention busting up laughing at yourselves occasionally is a great combo to any date night!

Spend the day at a theme park without the kids. Enjoy California Adventure and Downtown Disney. Be silly and have fun!
Catalina is also really cool for romantic day trip. I love kayaking there, but they also have glass-bottom or motorboat you can rent too for the less-adventurous. Or take jeep tour of the island and see buffalo.
Another fun idea is head for the snow. Bear Mountain or Mammoth maybe take ski lessons if not alreay skiiers. Or just goof around in the snow.

most parents don't care what they do as long as they get alone time, my husband and I will even just walk around the store! If you want romance, then I agree with above, go to a hotel, even if only a few hours, you can relax and pamper each other.

stay in a 10 star hotel , pamper each other and be pampered by the hotel luxuries;spa, hot tub,room service,bar downstairs, etc...
