Sorry to say Yes, but all fast food establishments are this way
anymore. No one takes the time to L-I-S-T-E-N! what
the customer is saying, too much talking to friends instead of
taking care of the customers. Sure, we all like to visit with friends on the job, BUT PEEPS! you are at WORK! and they
call it WORK for a reason. If you are a counter person?
that means paying attention, taking care of people in line.
In the drive thru places? I think for 1 thing, the intercom systems SUCK! they need updated some how. Surely technology has progressed to where you can HEAR and RESPOND better.
Also, Lack of training, and trying to run on the lowest amount
of help they can get away with.
Managers need to wake up to the fact that if their employees are constantly scrambling to cover more then 2-3 bases? Someone is going to be OUT! Namely the customer, and then in the long run the place as a whole.
I for one, am not afraid to ask a counter person when they are chatting to a friend, Are you on the clock? are you suppose to be working? If so, would you please take my order? If I get
'tude' back? I get the managers names and report them.
Sorry, I waitress'd 10 years, and worked my way thru school,
on my tips. And being polite, taking care of my customers and
trying to make things correct if I made a mistake, helps GREATLY in the tip department. OK i am off my soapbox.. sorry!

Yep I have the same problem. I can sit there waiting for awhile to get my food and when I get home, the food is stone cold and the order is totally screwed up. I mean, it's really not that hard to work in fast food!
My local Hardee's is even worse. New Year's Eve, I was the only car in their drive thru, and waited atleast 15 minutes for my food after paying. One night, they couldn't even get the right food rung up. I told them the numbers that correspond with the combo that I wanted, and they repeated the order back and it was way off of what I said that I wanted. I even told them no onions on a sandwich and they claimed that I said I wanted extra onions on it! Trust me, I worked at Hardee's in highschool, was also in management too, while in highschool, and it really does not take a rocket scientest or brain suregon to work it!

They built a brand new McDonald's in town and tore down the old one. The service was always fine at the other, but since they opened the new one they've been slow. I've noticed the service slowly improving. Our Burger King is the really bad one in our town, they are always out of common things, like once they were out of medium sized cups.

The service isn't so slow at our local McDonald's but they seldom get the order right. We never leave the window without going through everyone's order because most of the time, it's not correct and/or not complete.

the service sucked around here too. of course, the nearest mcdonalds close to my tiny town is an hour away, but when i do go there, they arent even friendly.
i guess you can get kinda crabby after working at mcdonalds.
and theres this one guy who works there and he has a long nasty beard. and hes the cook guy. seriously, he tucks his beard in his belt. to all guys who read this, never grow that long.
but thats besides the point.
seriously, they say mcdonalds is fast food, but where im from, its not very fast.

If you think that's bad, wait till you go to a Dairy Queen drive-thru. They make you wait at least 15 minutes.

It's the manager. Go to the website and complain. They will look into it. I've seen McDs bring in people to count how long it took each person to do their job so they are concerned with speed. I wish they would do something about the taste of their products. If you don't douse them in some condiment, they are tasteless.

at mcdonalds I ordered a quarterpounder w/ cheese , they asked did I want cheese with that.....well anyways when I got back to work I found there was no quarterpound hamburger , there was a fish sandwich instead , I only have a half hour for lunch so I didn't have time to go back and complain....but mcdonald is always messing up my orders and there was no other fast food place around so it was either mcdonalds or bring my own lunch .. we had no lunch wagon either
