The tips over your fingers should curl over the laces, so that you are gripping the seams instead of the skin of the football.

Why do you want a better grip on an Aussie Rules football? Are you a Player? Is it to mark it? Is it to kick it? Is it to handball it? Is it to protect it from a tackle? Or are you a Field Umpire? Then is it to bounce it? Is it to throw it up? Or are you a Boundary Umpire? Then is it to throw it in? Is it to carry it back to the Centre Circle? Now I have asked you most of the annoying questions that can give you a better response may I say you need a more personal approach so if you are young enough try Auskick. Finally though regardless of what your answers are to my questions I suggest you save the glove idea for the next time you rob a bank. Now take the football & throw it from one hand to the other & keep doing it until you forget you have a football. Add a few fancy spins & silly flips. Eventually try spinning it on one finger like a basketball & yes I can do that. By the time you try to do anything else with that ball it will feel like a cricket ball in size.
