Both my laptop(Compaq Persario V2000) and my TV (Daewoo) have S-Video Input and Outputs. When i plugged the S-Video in and pressed Fn+F4 I got a picture on my TV, but it was black and white and it was jumping. I looked all over the internet for an answer but i didn't find one. Please help me. PS When I put in a movie its black instead of showing the movie. But i can see the cursor. P.P.S I have an ATI RADEON XPRESS 200M graphic card. And I couldn't find the upgrade on the ATI website.

most of them have a setting which you can change, this is for differences between PAL and NTSC. look on your taskbar in the bottom right for a program with ATI in its name, if not try going to properties when you right click on your desktop. hope that helps.

It sounds to me like you have either a bad cable or your tv's svideo port isn't working properly. your laptop is sending out signal, but the interpretations by your tv isn't exactly the same.

i would try another svideo cable. if that doesn't work, perhaps try connecting to another tv. if it works, then it's your tv

Try changing your monitor resolution to its lowest setting. TVs can't handle the high resolution.
