Perverted sex lives of your elected officials get a FREE PASS from you. WHY? I honestly do not understand...

It IS our business - WE EMPLOY elected officials and pay their salary. We can demand a certain decency can't we?

It does to this liberal. A persons "moral or ethical strength" goes deeper than "perverted sex lives", though. Character is defined not only by our actions, but by our inactions, including our inactions on the issues of compassion and tolerance. I would not employ a hubristic, arrogant bully, whether he claimed to be a good Christian or not.

Character in public means a consistent set of beliefs and a predictable behavior over a long period of time. Republicans run on character. Democrats run on programs or resume.

Liberals (which is not all Democrats) have a problem with the concept of character. They tend to think you should judge a candidate by his qualifications. If you are looking for someone to fix your car, you want qualifications. If you are looking for a partner or a spouse you want character. Liberals tend to look for the former, Conservatives, the latter.

I, personally, look for a partner who CAN fix my car. They seem to be few and far between, though...

I agree. We need to look more at how well our employees are performing their job, which is doing the will of the American people. We, after all, are paying not only their salary, but for their mistakes. And they are getting to be far too expensive for my taste.

I'm thinking that there are a few conservative pervs as well, like Foley. But honestly, I don't care if Clinton gets a bj in the oval office, he wasn't the first, and he won't be the last.

I didn't like Clinton because he let 800,000 Tutsies die in Rwanda. I don't like Bush, and his morals are in serious question as well. His alliance to corrupt businesses, like Halliburton and Enron; his drug and alcohol addiction; his draft dodging...

Politicians suck. And no, we can't demand decency. I look for the person that will vote the issues the way I would vote for them, and that is who I vote for. I gave up on decency in politics a long time ago.

Yup, Mark Foley, run out of office for emails. Newt, for an adult heterosexual affair.
on the other side, Gerry Studds, Teddy the swimmer, billy bj clinton, barney frank, on and on, are the lefties true heroes. They wear their perversions as medals and resume enhancers.

You have got to be kidding. What planet do you live on? The democrats? Do you mean Clinton? Maybe you can get congress to enact a sex committee, everyone gets a chaperon. That scum bag Foley was almost re-elected after five weeks of hearing about his dirty deeds, and the house ethics committee did nothing, is that the kind of character the republican party has?
Foley, Delay, Ney, Cunningham and of course the person with the most character our President. You have one helluva lot of nerve posting that question about liberals. One last thing, getting a bj is not perverted to most people.

First of all, what were George Bush's credentials for running for president...I mean what jobs in government did he have other than 1 term as governor, failed businesses, and his father's wealth and service to his country (I think the old man was great, a great servant of America)....The Republican tear others apart and never mind even defending their history and shortcomings...talk about character....How did Bush Jr. even got elected is unbelievable...I don't know who you are talking about but you seem to think Liberals are immoral....but I would agree with you (if that's what you are saying) that no one should be in office who has a history of anything disgustingly immoral or illegal...but it seems the system doesn't allow for normal people to get real info on candidates with all the deceit and coverups.

Wow, bet you wished you hadn't asked that question. Guess you didn't expect honest answers. And as my last word, the answer to your question since the others have so eloquently pointed out the sins of your party, is that if we were able to fire those "employees" such as Bush, that man would have been gone long ago for his character flaws.

What did the republicans do to their perverts? Nothing. It seems character doesn't matter to anyone. So stop pointing your finger, remember, there are 3 pointing back at you.

I noticed that liberals, rather than answer your question, just attack you.
You have always condemned the bad behavior of any politician on this site. I have never seen you stick up for Foley and the like. Leave it to liberals to put the focus on you instead of on their bad choices.

We are forbidden to judge, remember "judge not lest ye be judged" or is that just when convenience calls?
