i have the sims complete collection and i am trying to make it as a superstar. when i invite a friend over on the phone and they show up to my house, they never ring the door bell and they don't get close to my house. if i but my mouse on top of them i get no options... it is really annoying bc you need to be friends with a certain number of people and this is making it impossible.
i also have a problem with when the tour bus comes and my fans get out the bus leaves and the fans stay and i can't to them either... i have to make my buttler make them leave.
i have used the money cheats before and the move objects cheats (where you delete your sim) to give my sim +aspiration. and i also have a dog, so do you think any of these are reasons why i can't talk to people?

you probably deleated either the portal or the phone line

How high is your star power? I have the complete collection, too, and if I remember correctly, you can't really talk to people who aren't on the same star level as you. I don't think the dog or the cheats have anything to do with it.
I know, the friends thing is really frustrating.

You may have deleted your mailbox, so now the friend has no way of locating your house.
