you haven't a virus, this is nothing else than an annoying adware.

try the Active Virus Shield, it's nothing else than the Kaspersky Anti Virus what is the best around. i'm using the official version (not the one from that website, because i fear they will send a bunch of spam mails).

here it is

Hi there-
I'm not sure how to help your problem below, but for your free anti-virus program, I have AVG Free antivirus by Grisoft for years and have enjoyed it immensely.. Combine this with AdAware by Lavasoft (that searches for spyware, malware, etc.) I have had little if any problems with my computer!

I would suggest go to:

www.download.com (cnet) and then search the two names above in the box at the top of the screen.

Good luck! Hopefully you can find out what's wrong with your computer.

:)

AVG or Avast are the only two half decent free ones, but I really insist you get a commercial one as both of them can be easily compromised by a well made virus.

I've written about the subject in a mini guide, look below.

You can down load a free antivirus program and scan the computer. I think that you can down load AVG free edition from the following link that deals with different antivirus softwares. http://tinyurl.com/ymctqq

The McAfee website has a free online scanner which is excellent. It will not, however, remove the virus but will only tell if you have one for sure. www.mcafee.com
