Tell him about your fear, and ask him to help you overcome it! I think it would do you and him a lot of good. Yes it's hard to trust people, but the only way you'll ever trust people again is if you give them a chance, and the safest way to give them a chance is to let them know that you have trust issues. If they still want to be with you, then you should know that they are trying very hard to be trust worthy.

Your fear is natural! But your not doing yourself any favors by staying off the market. There ARE good guys out there looking for you that will do you right, just make sure that you voice this up front when you get to a place in your next relationship where your comfortable and find what you want! As the first responder said, life is about getting back up and trying again, and life is passing you by. Don't let someone else's failure become YOUR problem. He's not worth putting your life on hold. Go out and find a decent, kind hearted guy who will love to have you with him!

I know and hear you . My advice as a retired Social Worker, Take it easy my friend. I would suggest some counseling if you're not afraid of counseling.
I think it would be a good way to digest where your insecurity comes from. To see it from a out-side party that is not close to the situation is always helpful.
Hope this helps my friend. Ha[[y New Year and hope you find the love of your life. In my case I have and I am pretty lucky!

i really don't think there are any tricks or short cuts here.. heartbreak sucks and it takes time to get over.. i've gone thru periods of up to three years of depression and disgust over romances gone wrong.. heck, even rejections have caused me to lose trust, faith and interest in pursuing love..

just try to keep an open mind and really get to know a person well before you allow yourself to fal lfor them.. also, do what you can to study their patterns.. and even though it's not rally nice to be judgemental, ask them about their past and find out whether or not they have cheated on others.. once a cheater, always a cheater.. so find someone who has never cheated and chances are, they won't hurt you..

good luck..

Life is about getting back on the horse, but take your time, and you will eventually find the right guy (because not all guys are creeps)
