Whether you respect the man or not, you should respect the office.
The US has actually killed relatively few Iraqis.
Would it make you feel better if Saddam had killed them instead?
Presidents from Nixon on should have done more to combat militant Islam. If they had, we wouldn't have the mess we are in today.
I know a lot of the focus under Ford, Carter & Reagan was on the Cold War; but that doesn't mean they should have ignored the growing threat from Islamic Extremists.
Just because you don't agree, doesn't mean you are right.
The conflict in the Middle East has been going on for centuries, Bush is just the first President wise enough to recognize it & take action. Right or wrong, we're there and need to finish the job.

A leader gets the respect he earns...he does not deserve respect for showing up...just like everybody else. Bush had no real credentials for the presidency other than one term in office as governor of Texas, because he rode his father's shirt-tails into office (the old man is a great man and served his country in many ways) , he should have at least been worth the benefit of the doubt

I think you're overstretching the truth--even so---I respect the office but as a man I think Bush deserves little respect. He sure doesn't respect us...

So now it's a million dead Iraqis?
That's funny, the Iraqi officials' count is CONSIDERABLY less than that.
And yes, the office of the president does deserve respect, and so does the man who fills the position. Whether you like him or not.

each human merits admire no remember if president or not. Mr. Obama has a complicated interest earlier to him; repairing fences with countries the former administration broken, finding out the banking and vehicle scandals, and so on. specific, he merits admire in spite of in case you do not accept as true with him. that could be somewhat wide-spread certainty that as quickly as a clean occasion and chief take over, it takes approximately 4 years for them to straighten out the blunders the former occasion and chief made. simply by this timeframe not all could be mounted, besides as new proposals the recent occasion has promised; so, whilst the subsequent election comes by technique of a lot of people have forgotten who screwed up the country; the different occasion blames the screw up on the recent occasion and for that reason, regularly the recent occasion is voted out and a bad one is in place lower back.

Lack of respect for people in "authoratative positions" is becoming a thing of the past in this country. That is part of the reason why America is in decline and will eventually realize its downfall. Besides, you can't compare Bush to Hitler. If you don't like it here, why you just get the h*** out? We don't need you!

Of course, he is the President. If you were a boss at work, you would expect those who work for you to respect you. You would get pretty annoyed if workers ignored you. The President is in charge of the Country and should be respected for that.

Positions of authority demand respect from the posts of their subordinates only. This howerver should not impede a subordinate from voicing their opinions.

He is basically our dictator while in office.especially since he had a republican congress . we voted him him.he may ruin everything. but he is our damn president.and deserves a little bit of respect because the people voted him in to office. I do think they shouldn't pay him any retirement pay tho.and he will probably burn in hell when he passes on.the poor bastard. I don't see how evil people can live with themselves.but he has so many evil people with him in government he probably doesn't even have any idea that he is evil.but he will find out when he dies.and ain't is a proper word by the way.

Given that there is the comparison trying to be made in this posting between President Bush and Hitler (and there is no way that this comparison can EVER be made ... President Bush was FREELY ELECTED by this Nation, holds a Post that is HONORABLE ... and took on that role after the Embarrassments of Carter, Clinton, and others who definitely were not deserving of the role of President of the US ...
and that Hitler, a madman and Dictator .. Self-Appointed head of state that ruled through terror and fear ... who had everyone wondering who was going to be next in line for his personal pogram of "ethnically cleansing the area" (and my own ancestors (Poles), Romas, and many other Ethnicities were just as much subjected to the HORRORS of the Slave Camps and/or Death Chambers as any member of the Jewish Faith, Catholics, and others) ... who received personal reports (authorized) on horrific human 'experiments' that his hand-picked cadre of very sick (I won't print what I am thinking) IS the true Disgusting, perverted HORROR and not human at all.
Somehow, the role of the President of the US has been misinterpreted ... and this is happening because of the way our own history is being re-written ... including the sacrifices that MEN and Women (and Men such as MY FATHER who became a Paraplegic fighting to LIBERATE those in these Death Camps -- and yes, he SAW the way those in the camps looked when they were liberated ... and NEVER, ever, could you forget that 'look') MADE to free the world from the terror of Hitler.
YES, the OFFICE of President DESERVES to be RESPECTED. It is a difficult position to fill, and made more difficult by the misconception that one person sitting in a position has the power (which he really does NOT have under the Constitution of the US) to affect changes ... changes that are based in Actions that MUST be Approved and Authorized in the HALLS of CONGRESS ... where the PEOPLE of the US must look towards ...
WOW -- are you misinformed about the situation in IRAQ as well ... and yes, I know about that situation ... the loss of life is NOT from American Forces (although there are some situations where this happened) ... the TRUE Loss of life comes from the Sectarian VIOLENCE and the "Holy War" between the Shia and Sunnis -- and includes the attacks that have happened on religious and ethnic minorities by the WARLORDS that come from the Shia v Sunni Conflict (which dates back to the time of Mohammad's DEATH ... and when Mohammad did NOT directly name a successor .. the power vacuum caused a conflict and permanent split -- and the conflict has been taking place since that time).
It is HORRIBLY WRONG to blame the President of the US and American Forces when one sect posts on the TOP of the Mosques, in the Cemetaries, on tops of buildings, and in buildings ... various snipers to take out members of the other sect from APPLYING for Jobs, going out to purchase food in the market, or even deciding to NO LONGER Live in fear because they are living in the "Wrong" side of town for their religious beliefs ... to be forced out by the OTHER Sect and to move .. and having to leave everything behind (to save a few members of their family) or to be KILLED because they do NOT want to leave their HOME ...
To be sniped at because you are Catholic, Christian or some other belief by other sects ... for the fact that you DARE to go to the church to visit the pastor.
To have to FEAR the sect coming into your home at night -- to steal away your young male (to drug them up and train them to become 'assassins' (or ... as those radicals justify it -- 'martyrs')) or female (as the 'virgin sacrifice' for the males about to be sent out for suicide attacks) ... and to have this happen all the time.
To have children killed by attending the SCHOOLS that the US and ALLIED forces Troops have helped build .. to have supposed 'religious leaders' encouraging that the children NOT be educated and to be so carefully trained in prejudice and hate ...
WOW ... I would definitely be one parent protesting at the school to make sure that MY CHILD does not inherit the vast amount of misinformation and pure, outright ignorance in the classroom.
