They don't call them "New Balance" for nothing. They carry wide sizes and have far better support/stablization than most running shoes. I have bad ankles (busted up my ankles and knees playing goalie in soccer in college) and they keep my ankles from "rolling".

Someone recommended Nike Flex, I'm sure that's very comfortable. I like New Balance, awkwardly enough I have wide, flat feet and I bought a pair of their walking shoes. I didn't think they would be wide enough, but sure enough they were and they're the most comfortable shoes I have. Oh, and I bought them for $30 at a Ross store so check there if you're looking for a great deal on brand names. & Don't complain about your ducktoe flipper foot. We swim better ;)
