My mom had my brother at 8 months. He survived.
My sister had 3 of her 9 children at 8 months. They are all fine.
My son was born in the 8th month....he's fine.
That's just an old wives tale.

I Have also heard of this as well the baby has a higher chance of survival if born premature during the seventh month than the eighth month, isn't that weird something about the lungs Im not sure.

I have 6 children all born in the 8 month, a baby in the 8th month has a better survival rate then in the 7th month.

who told u that, ur pet rock??? that's one of the dumbest things i've ever heard. babies can survive after a certain number of weeks, and not all babies that are the same age will survive but the closer to full term the better. a baby born in the 8th month will usually be developed enough that it won't even have to stay at the hospital a long time like it would if it were 6 or 7 months.

I don't think that's true. A relative of mine gave birth in the 8th month her babies survived. I also have a friend that had her baby in the 7th month, weighing only 2 pounds and he survived. I think it depends on if the pregnancy is healthy or not and the if the baby is capable of living outside the womb.

That's not always true. My doctor had me delivery my son at eight months. All you have to be is twenty six weeks along. There could be some problems, but for some reason I think a eight month old would survive better than a seven month old.

That doesnt make any sense. Why would a baby survive in the 7th month , but not the 8th?

Commonly the doctor will attempt to get a baby to 28 or 30 weeks gestation before delivery to ensure development of the lungs. What you heard is not correct at all.
