I think he will do very well. He may need a bit of time to adjust, but if he plays simple soccer and only takes players on in the right areas (the attacking third) I think he'll do very well.
He showed he can score goals on the big stage, as he did in the World Cup in Germany, and he has good size, confidence, and overall skill. As he gets more comfortable, with a few games under his belt, hopefully he'll make great strides. He's unique because he takes players on. He just as to balance that out, when to go at players and when to play simple. He'll still very young too, so the future is very bright I think. Very well. If McBride, Bocanegra, Convey, Friedel, Howard, and Spector can cope well, then Dempsey can too. If fact, he is the best U.S. player at the moment.

It's going to be a brave new world for him, he'll have to adjust to the different style of play and the improved standard of play, there will be some trying times - but he'll be find.
