Is there a special name associated with the plastic disc used to play 45 rpm's

it's called a 45 because the speed of the vinyl on the phonograph is 45 revolution per minute aka rpm. and there's also the 78rpm and the 33rpm

If you mean the thing you put in the middle, I always called it a 45 adapter.
