What a question to ask, I guess you didnt have a very good relationship with your father, to even ask this question, having a child is the most rewarding thing in the world, there is no other bond like it, most parents are like best friends with there kids, i know that i would do anything in the world to help my parents and i think they would want to do the same for me.

Technically us fathers don't have children - women do, and then we usually stick around to share in the utmost joy of that bundle of wrinkled miracle.

i've got two young children that i'm bringing up on my own.it's rewarding when you see them first sit up,start crawling, start walking, hear their first words, when they first tell you they love you and give you cuddles, etc.course,i suppose people like you don't really understand how us fathers can really feel proud of our kids.god help any woman you get up the duff.

it was rewarding to be there to see my son score his first goal playing for his under nine team.
it was rewarding hearing my daughter get up and sing in front of 200 strangers.
it was rewarding to see my two youngest swim there first lengths in the swimming pool without arm band,

i am proud of my kids, they make me smile when im down, and i would die for them

You wont understand unless you have kids? If you don't want kids that's fine by me. The only thing I can say is, try to imagine loving someone 1000 times more than you love yourself. just like your parents loved you.(maybe)..
