Please don't pick a team, because they're your favorite.

This year is actually a toss-up year. There's no 16-1 or 17-0 team. But I have the Chicago Bears winning it all for several reasons. First, special teams. Devin Hester is THE best kickoff returner in the country. And you can't forget Robbie Gould, their kicker. He can nail a field goal from almost anywhere. Second, Bears D. Everyone knows just how good this Bears Defense is--also best in the nation. Third, a pretty good offense. Rex Grossman pretty much has things under control in Chicago this year. They should go all the way in the playoffs.

Ravens

Their defense is the best in the NFL. There may not be 11 better defensive players in the NFL than the starting lineup for the Ravens.

On offense, the Ravens are decent, though they seem to lead the league in 3rd and 1s and 4th and 1s because the O-Line is great at protecting McNair and opening up holes (the only thing keeping them from elite is that they're penalty prone). I'm certain the Ravens are prepared to draft a replacement for Jamal Lewis, because all 1000 or so of his yards are thanks to his linemen because he's not a very good runner anymore. McNair's a great QB and he's got a WR corps that will be among the league's elite in a few years (Clayton's just breaking out and Williams is a future superstar). This Ravens team may have dynastic potential, considering how fast Boller has developed from the 45% accuracy passer that the Ravens took in the 1st round (his stats were better in his rookie year than they were in college and he's improved drastically since, as he came into his own late last year and has played great ball during the 2 games he's played, tossing 5 TDs to 1 pick and this wasn't garbage time either as McNair was knocked out of 2 games in the opening minutes this year).

You've got to like a team that can (in one scenario), beat the Colts, Chargers, and Bears to win the Super Bowl. All 3 of those teams are vastly overrated and would be dominated by the Ravens.

How much have you heard about the Ravens this season, compared to all the hype about San Diego? If you look at San Diego's winning streak, they barely escaped in 8 out of 10. The Ravens have dominated game after game during their 9-1 stretch, including 2 blowouts of otherwise 8-6 Pittsburgh (a team that won every game the last 2 months or so, except for those games, and won many in dominant fashion). Steeler fans will be the first to tell you how great this year's Raven team is. After all, this is the first Raven team in history to sweep Pittsburgh, including the Super Bowl Champions from 2000 (a year when Pittsburgh didn't make the playoffs by the way). They're a fluke Thursday Night game (which should not have been on the schedule to begin with) away from a 10 game winning streak and the number 1 seed, not to mention a spotless record in the best division in football.

san diego. my personal critiera is that the superbowl winner is always one of the team sack leaders. Right now, of all the playoff teams. the ravens and SD are top 2. Head to head, the ravens are one chest injury shy of being without an offense and Jamal lewis has never recovered his confidence after his stint in prison. However, SD has 2 supermen (Rivers and LT) so if one goes down, the other can carry the team.

So, imho, the real superbowl is chicago vs SD.

(my favorite team is the steelers.)

I would have to say the San Diego Chargers

With LaDaninan Tomlinson at RB any team will be faced with a challenge. What makes matters worse is that Phillip Rivers is a good QB with some good weapons including Antonio Gates

But with a defensive led by Shawn Merriman opposing offenses will have a hard time scoring too

Most complete team in a while...

well it wont be Dallas and it wont be New York it wont be chiefs or the other New York it wont be colts or Chicago the AFC will come down to Baltimore and San Diego with San Diego winning and NFC will be eagles and New Orleans which is too close to call but San Diego will run all over any team that they play and they have a deciant passing game

Chargers...they seem to be unstoppable right now. They break defenses. Incredible running game, great passing game. If they got to the Super Bowl no NFC team could beat them

i'm a bears fan but i have to go with chargers on this one. they're offense is just too explosive and they're defense is good enough to limit any team to only a few points per game.
