This is a very good question and brings back memories. Unfortunately it also the cause of mid-life crisis and divorce. I think that's why so many people are nostalgic about high school boyfriends. Even when you are the chaser, the feeling is like a high. But being chased when your not receptive is a horrible feeling.

Absolutely. The only let down is getting stuck with what you chased and captured.
