How does a normal person get from being a normal person to having many books published and read?I want to know in detail what people have to do after they have what they think is a good story written?just curious!
BTW, does anybody know of any story contests?

I know a couple authors and the best thing to do is come up with a story that is distinctive enough for publishers to like it.

What kind of book are you talking about? Most of the sites I know of are for romance.
