Which one is smarter? I think there are some very smart people on both sides of the aisle. Heck, my mother and father both went to good universities, both have masters degrees, and one is Republican and the other is Democratic. So, I think both sides are about as smart, comparing the average person.
Now, if you're asking about which is side is correct more often, then that's another question ...

I would have to say liberals by far!!!!!!!!!!! At least we care about other people (Yes Even Poor People). The Conservatives can't say that-just look at New Orleans 1&1/2 yrs. later. They are too closed minded about everyone and everything that is not in "their perfectly normal world". Liberals are more open minded to differences and more accepting of others-therefore a lot smarter!!!

Question is doomed. There are times when liberal action is better and times when conservative is. It's like asking which is better, male or female. A mature political view takes in the merits of both.

Neither. There are some extremely moronic liberals AND conservatives out there. Conversely, there are intelligent people on both sides as well.

Conservatives are smarter. Liberals would allow so much latitude in determining intelligence that even a absolute cretin would be considered potentially intelligent enough to be smart under the right circumstances!

If you mean what passes for "liberal" and "conservative" today - they BOTH suck.
Today's "conservatives" are "neo-cons" - one step removed from Nazis.
The liberals are no better - but a cross between communist, socialist and LSD bad trip.
What we NEED is old-style conservatives to rein in the budget and chop the size of government.
Ask yourself this: About 1 in every 3 dollars you earn over the course of your lifetime will go to the government. IS IT WORTH IT?
If not, we need smaller, better government... not the monstrosities the Demoncrats and the Republicraps have given us!
