I suggest looking up a local metaphysical store or a pagan shop. Look for ones filled with books, statues, incense and candles with a few rocks and herbs. A place heavy on the crystals for sale is more likely to a bad place to find someone with true talent. Usually the good pagan stores have a reader of some sort that will charge you around $20-$30 for a reading and it will be an honest one instead of telling you what you wish to hear. The price will be set up front if they are honest and worthwhile. Most I know are willing to even negotiate if necessary.
If they try to charge you more or tell you of some "curse" that you need to pay for more money to get their help removing, RUN!

It is very possible. But are they willing to expose themselves. You have to know that a real psychic is worth their weight in Gold. Now how long do you think that a true psychic will remain free in this time and age..... How would you feel to be locked up and held by gun point. So that and agency or individual can keep you a prisoner for the rest of your natural life........ Another thing you also have to think about how quickly would a agency or person kill a psychic to keep them out of the hands of others.. You know what I mean. They will say if I can't have it no one can.

Look in the phone book under bookstores, and choose the ones that say "Metaphysical" or "New Age." Depending on where you are, they might actually say "Occult." Then call or visit them and ask for recommendations of local psychics. They, of all people, should know who in the area is legitimate. Good luck!

Sylvia Browne is a great one. I've met her and she's on TV all the time. She's great. But she's gotten so popular it's hard to afford her.
