I see that a lot of the guys here are willing to help more so than give advice and answer questions that are posed.

One person was right in that you have to see if it is OK to rent your condo from your condo association. Normally they will not allow more than 10% of the condos to be rented out at the same time. There might even be a list of potential condo owners that want to rent.

Now since you only have one place to rent, and your home owners association gives you their approval advertise your condo for rent indicating the number of bedrooms, baths as well as the rent.

You might want to also join the Apartment Association in your city. They will have a the current rental contracts as well as a way for you to obtain credit reports for potential renters.

They, in most cases have a monthly magazine keeping you abreast of current rental laws and tenant/landlord rights. There is a small association dues that you will have to pay,but since you are now a landlord it will most likely be tax deductible.(Check with your tax preparer for any and all tax advice)

There are lots of web sites that will allow you to advertise your rental , Craig's list as well as My Space comes to mind.

I hope this has been of some use to you, good luck.

First check and see if the Association will let you rent. Some don't.
Then see an agent

Seek a licensed Realtor to assist you with marketing and renting this out.
