Only going to be staying a couple days. Not looking for a wild party, but still a fun atmosphere, and most importantly nice beaches for swimming and hanging out (not too interested in surfing). Not really concerned about the cost, just wondering if one place is distinctly better and why. Thanks!

Cocoa Beach has a lot more to do and its close to Kennedy Space Center. Its also close to Orlando. Cocoa Beach has better beaches and less crowded too. Won't cost you an arm and a leg to stay either.

Ft. Lauderdale
It's the 6 top visited city in Florida! Cocoa beach was 17!
U can visit Olas boulevard where you will find boutiques, narrow alleyways, brick walkways, tiny white lights rimming windows and dozens of trendy restaurant.., Water Taxi: It is an adventure to travel by water taxi and arrive at waterside destinations, including dozens of restaurants and shops. U also have many close by beaches: pompano, deerfield, south beach isn't to far away either.
