I am stuck at world 3 the first castle. How do I beat the big fish monster thing?

sry but there isn't a walkthrough for yoshi's island on ds on gamefaq.com i know this because i just looked but if u have eggs throw them at salvo but not all at once only when he comes up out of the water i just saw it in my head so good luck :)
