You mean like the British National Health Service?
Check out www.nhs.uk
The health service in this country entitles everyone to free health care (yes, really, it's amazing). Most European countries have some sort of similar scheme, however I think the UK version is the most extensive.
The benefits are that anyone, from any background will receive the same treatment anywhere in the country. It's also free, and you never feel forced to compromise on your health for financial reasons.
The downside is that, in reality, all hospitals are different and offer different standards of treatment. The service spent years under the last Conservative government being terribly underfunded, which has resulted in massive waiting lists for operations. You can't get every drug available on the NHS, most people still have to pay for a prescription from the pharmacy and hospitals seem to be having big problems with killer super-infections.
If you want private health care in this country you can have it and it will give you better treatment. However, if you can't afford it then it's not a problem as the Health Service will see you right.

no person has been speaking approximately giving 26 million human beings unfastened scientific well being coverage. (no longer all subsidies pays a hundred% of the charges; some human beings won't get any subsidies.) maximum of it is going to likely be paid for in low value rates throughout the equipment; some via taxes on those with extensive earning, or different components. Uh, confident, the coverage companies have been abusing clientele for a protracted time now. it is why reform consists of provisions to dodge them from persevering with to realize this: they are in a position to't advance rates via extensive hunks, many times, at will. they are in a position to't drop human beings because of the fact they choose scientific interest, or refuse to insure those with well being circumstances (previous or contemporary). Uh, confident, emergency rooms would be seeing fewer people who have not have been given the different get admission to to well being care than that -- and, because of the fact that ER is the main costly care, which will shop the full equipment a great number of money. people who're healthful, can locate the money for coverage, yet are not getting it is going to likely be getting coverage -- their rates are additionally the place the money consists of hide extra human beings. How is it you haven't any longer heard any of the main important factors approximately those varieties of issues this finished time? "Who will pay the invoice"? human beings and employers will nevertheless be paying rates; clientele of well being care will nevertheless be paying their deductables and co-will pay; coverage companies will nevertheless be choosing up something. Your question is mindless.

Americans should not be given the SAME health insurance. But it is absolutely unconscionable for an American to die of a curable disease just because they can't afford the absolutely ridiculous premiums. All Americans should have basic healthcare. They should have their basic life sustaining needs met. But, to say they should all have the SAME health insurance would be a bit much. People who say people should have to pay for it are obviously getting it from employers. Insurance premiums are WAY to high for a minimum wage or lower income bracket worker. In Florida, unless I went through some kind of aid program, a basic HMO or PPO plan would cost me $328 a month. That is more than I pay for water, light, sewer, groceries and my student loan each month.

In Canada they have good health insurance (everyone gets the same) prices are small compared here in America. Been to a doctor lately sure costs a lot ($70-100) a visit PLUS a prescription. I know it was 25 years ago but my dad had a ER visit in Canada and the bill they gave him was like $25 and that was before any insurance... I sure would like insurance like that.

NO.
To be GIVEN insurance without having to WORK for it is wrong. People should be given the opportunity to purchase low cost good insurance at their place of employment.
We should only provide health care assistance to older adults (Senior Citizens who have paid into the system)and children.

No. All Americans should not be "given" anything. All Americans should be given the opportunity to buy whatever health insurance they want.

Personally I like the health insurance that hubby and I pay for. No Socialism for me, thanks. I've seen it in action personally and when I or hubby needs an operation or treatment for something serious, I don't want to have to wait until I am dead before it's available.

My opinion people may need different insurance coverage depending on what needs they are looking to protect. Someone who is 90 may not need pediatric coverage.

You mean should we become socialists? Well, if the Dems have their way, we'll see how a socialist health care works. My opinion, it's going to be a disaster.
