should i play the first kingdom hearts before i try the second one?

You'll understand and enjoy it more if you play Kingdom Hearts I first. A lot happens in the first game, storyline etc and its all continued in the sequel. Throughout Kingdom Hearts II references to Kingdom Hearts I are made, theres even several references to Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, it'd be a little hard to understand without playing the first game, like who Riku is, darkness, heartless etc.

Actually I kinda did that. I played the second and didn't finish it then I decided to play the first and then once I re-played the second one it started making more sense. If you do play the second one first some parts may be a little confusing .. otherwise it doesn't really matter.

yea, i think u should play the first game! kingdom hearts one is the bomb! i'm gona get kingdom hearts 2 cuz i just finished kindom hearts one two weeks ago. It has great graphics awesome keyblades, lots of disney characters, and a great story mode! trust me man it's a great game!

usually the other games after the first game has somethings to do with the first game so it would probably be best if u play the first game first so u know whats going on for the second one

nope you can play them in any order but if you want to know what was happening and why play first then second but if you want just to play the 2 only but if you play 2 only you might predect what has happend in the past so if you dont to waste money just play the 2

I did and would. The first one tells you a good background, better than the 2nd. But you can play it in any order.

yea thats wud be the better option, it would give you a much better understanding of the gameplay and story line, because from wat i can see, with out the knowledge of wat happened in the first game you wont have a clue wats going on lol, plus it is loads of fun, i cudnt stop playin until i completed it, i played for over 10 hours straight. get to know the characters more and the storyline before jumping into the sequel

nope,i played the second one first and i understood what happened in the first one.at the beginning you ain't gonna understand nothing but when you keep playing it will be clear like the sun

Well it would probably make more sense to. Also, the story would be quite a bit clearer. I reccomend that.
