There are so many programs on TV about nutrition, so that everyone should know, that there is no such thing as forbidden food in a healthy diet, it's just the quantities that you consume.
Interestingly American Fast Food menu sizes are much bigger than European menus. Scientists have proved, that saturation is partially dependent on serving amounts. e.g. So if an European is happy (or saturated) with a Big Mac menu counting 1200 calories an American customer will be served a 1900 calories menu. Instead of stopping to feel hungry after eating 1200 calories, like the European guy the American still has a lot of food left on his tray and still feels hungry. This is not because Americans burn more calories, but because the persons appetite adapts itself to the served portion size.
So in the end, if you would always buy a normal size menu you would feel as happy or saturated as when you would double size it. (obviously this should be in a relevant range)
So after watching the practical experiment in the movie "double size me" everyone should have understood, that too much of a good thing is bad.
So after all "Size does matter", Bigger is not Better like some Burger Companies want to make you believe.
Cheers.
