Have you lost all respect for the coach, or do you empathize with him?

It's the almighty dollar.

Alabama is a storied football program, one that does rival some of the head coaching positions in the NFL. Personally, it's starting to seem more and more like coaches are becoming part of the "free agent" game like players have been for years. One big difference - they don't fall under the salary cap, so as long as a franchise can foot the bill, they can buy the coach.

In recent years, big name coaches are being drawn from lesser programs to bigger ones with dollar signs flying everywhere. This is a bit different, because Saban was a highly touted coach from a big program in college, who made a jump to one of the bigger names in the NFL, and then... right back? It does seem almost, well, shady is all I can say.

I don't think he's been in Miami long enough to really make that switch without taking some criticism. But now that there's 40 mil on the table and the public knows all about it... well, that's why the question is here on Yahoo!, isn't it?

I like the Crimson Tide, and a couple of my buddies are big Dolphins fans. But if you ask me... he should stay in Miami. But that's just my two fins.

Saban found out what Steve Spurrier discovered. The Pro Game is a lot different than the college game. The Pros make so much money that it's difficult to motivate them. Spurrier and Saban are outstanding college coaches, but they couldn't cut it in the pros. There is nothing wrong with that... it's just that the coaching techniques are different.

I do think Saban let the Dolphins fans down. And he should have stayed at least one more year.

I'm not really a Dolphin fan, but I hope he doesn't. I still have respect for him because the Dolphins didn't do that bad compared to the Raiders and Lions. Also I don't think he'll go back to college football, they even talked about it on espn that he turned down all of those offers. They said he announced he's staying with the Miami Dolphins.

Well I think his first season was a disaster because of that moron Willimas they improved this year and may of been a playoff team the next but 40+ million is too tough to turn away from.

Wonder what the new coach in Oklahoma will get.

I haven't lost all respect for him, because he's coaching in a less stress enviroment in Alabama and gets more money, but how can you do that to an organization!? I have mixed feelings.
