i want to build an sli system
i have a 7900gs and i'm going to get another.
i'm thinking of either an asus delux mobo or 680i money is tight though.
another thinkd is that right now i have 1.5 gigs of pqi and mushkin ddr2 533mgz ram.

HELP!!!!!

Your video card setup has absolutely nothing to do with your system memory (aka ram). The memory video cards use is built into the card.

I'll tell you now that a SLI setup is barely worth the money, a 7900GS is a very fast card. I would hold out for 6 months and get one of the new 8xxx models as they support DirectX10 (the 7xxx line does not). It's not that the 8xxx line is so much faster as much as the fact that Microsoft has been convincing some game companies to only do DirectX10 games.

"money is tight" + "build an SLI system" =does not compute. If money is tight, then spend it where you can get the best bang for your buck, which is not running SLI, which is in fact one of the most overrated technologies out there, right up there with RAID 0. SLI is great if you have a lot of money and want to have the ultimate set up, but you would be better off getting a solid 1 PCI Express slot motherboard, selling the 7900GS on eBay, and then spending that money along with the money you were going to spend on the new 7900GS to get one good high performance video card.
