I think he was about to turn that team around next season. Daunte Culpepper is going to be alot better in 2007 than he was this year. That's was generally accepted in the preseason as fact and I believe it will be fact. I think Miami has a chance to be next year's Baltimore. An underrated team that is disrespected all season long, but wins their division easily and gets a bye in the playoffs.
Saban should have stayed in Miami. Now he's going to be remembered as a failure, even though he was not. Whoever takes over Miami is going to be Coach of the Year next season because they're going to win the AFC East. New England, New York, and Buffalo aren't as good as the Dolphins have the ability to be.

Yes and No. He did fail because he didn't stay and fulfill his contract and all that he said he was going to do with this team. He fled from the adversity of having a tough year and opted out because it was too hard, but he was never a NFL coach. His high intensity and great personality makes him perfect for the NCAA recruiting life and all he did was follow his heart, which no one can blame him for.

I think he left because he was on the verge of failing. I don't expect him to do good at Alabama.....unless he has a no fire clause in this contract.....and....unless he wrote his own contract so that he can coach his way instead of pleasing the rich good ol boys!!! Time will tell.
