www.doverpublications.com. carries all kinds of paper back books for children, on just the subjects you are looking for. They are very inexpensive. They have a catalog that is just devoted to children interests.

Origami seems to be the latest passion for paper-folding. Try out the sites I found on this topic. I personally have always been fascinated with this art form. Seems to have items to fold for all levels of skill ability in the various links below.

Both boys and girls, men and women of all ages can do origami. The best thing about these projects is you can keep them for decorations after creating your own "masterpiece".

For the /crazy_paper_folding_trick/ listed below it stated on the web site: "Using only one piece of paper, create a cool 3D effect in no time! Try using different size paper and different folding widths for contrasting results". This is very effective. Watch the video. Just something a little different for your niece and nephew to try.

Enjoy.

PS Thanks for that paper plane site! Will try that one out myself.

I distinctly remember those in your first link and the frustration into trying to cut them out with a small pair of round nose scissors .... the only ones I was allowed to use. I noticed you had to post this question twice since the first was deleted. I just wonder what kind of mean spirited misery guts gets pleasure by reporting questions that so many others enjoy. I'm so glad you did ask it the second time, don't let the SOBs get you down.
