You might look to history or fine arts to give you an answer. Washington Crossing the Delaware or a copy of Mount Rushmore are some examples.

Someone from history. That way it's easier, because it has already happened. I personally would go with someone complex, like a dictator, or something.

-nazi sign/flag
-american flag
-marilyn monroe
-titanic sinking
-a rainforest, etc.

you got some odd answerer's I would do a morning glory flower. They are very colorful and have only limited number of colors but lots of shading. good luck
