Alot of times our perceptions get in the way of what really occurred. Depending on how intimate and close the relationship, the easier it is for us to be personally offended. Many times the "offender" never intended hurt- we just expect more from them due to our tight bond or insecurites.

Because people within our age group acting negatively makes us look bad. People of the same nationality as us acting ignorant makes all of us even the ones that disagree with the action look bad. Believe it or not peoples actions reflect off on other people so if their offended by something you said that you felt wasnt offensive their gonna take it personal. Thats life. I choose to see the bigger picture unlike others.

It's human nature; we tend to be rather self-absorbed. For this reason it is very easy to think that someone did something to annoy or harm us, when if fact they were acting for their own reasons with no awareness (or perhaps disinterest) in the effects on other people.

Because we're human and unfortunately we are filled with emotions. It's not a bad thing, you just have to learn when to let it go. And for all those people with negative feedback, you obviously have issues with other people, otherwise you wouldn't bother answering.

We're humans, we're social, and we're flawed. Your question is general. So my answer is general.
