So now i have her library on my ipod and my library in my itunes but cannot seem to merge them both on to my ipod? Her library is 1700 songs mine is 500, do i have to loose mine or hers or can i keep them both?

I would try putting you library into a playlist and put it on your I-pod. Remember, her library is on her computer and your library is on yours. You don't have the original songs of hers in your library or on your computer, so there may be a conflict with them. Songs can only be put on an Ipod, not taken off to share, unless you are using some program like sharepod.

You can maybe create 2 different playlists if you put all your 500 songs onto her library and then you will have easy access
