never fail i am always a little behind after christmas. how do i stop this?

I would like to know this, too. My fiance went out and spent way too much on his 3 teen girls (we are already paying $450 for something for them, and he goes and spends an extra $300 on them!). Then, because he did this, the water bill didn't get paid and now it has been shut off. Maybe he needed to have this happen to learn his lesson--bills come before gifts and other things. Period. I always make the bills come first, then the kids, then our relationship, then my school and his job. But, he doesn't do that. I am so mad that he did this and that the water is shut off--until Monday or Tuesday when I can go pay the bill!!

pay your bills first and then your christmas gifts. I start early so I just have less money to spend on myself from august through december so that I can buy gifts. I'm never behind on my bills. If you are you need to grow up and learn to take care of yourself. Honestly. You'll ruin your credit that way and that can prevent you from buying a house or even getting a good job these days. If you are behind on your bills, your credit card companies can jack up your interest rates, so this is a really big deal. They can jack up your interest rates, even if you aren't late with them! It shouldn't be legal, but it is.
